Tank jewellery watch, large model, quartz movement. Rose gold 750/1000 case and bracelet set with 348 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 6.51 carats, amethysts, coral, chrysoprases, rose gold 750/1000 bezel set with 155 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 3.06 carats, crown set with a 0.10-carat diamond, rose gold 750/1000 dial set with 272 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.82 carats, polished red sword-shaped hands. Case diameter: 31 x 24.2 mm, thickness: 6.75 mm. Water-resistant up to 3 bar (approx. 30 metres).
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
Louis Cartier created the Tank watch in 1917. A legend was born. The first prototype was presented as a gift to General Pershing some years before the watch was brought to market in 1919. The lugs blend seamlessly into the stark edges of flat vertical brancards, lending the watch its unique aesthetic. The clean, crisp lines have proved hugely popular with a free-spirited, elegant clientèle. The now-iconic Tank watch has inspired countless variations yet managed to preserve its distinctive identity.
